Matt Groening (rhymes with complaining) has worked as a sewage treatment plant employee, chauffer, cartoonist, ghostwriter, and is the creator of the comic strip LIFE IN HELL(r). Since its debut in WET magazine in 1977, LIFE IN HELL(r) has continued to explore the themes of love, sex, work, death and rabbits. Through the strip, which is syndicated in over 250 newspapers, Matt Groening has been able to share his feelings about angst, alienation, self-loathing and the meaninglessness of our impending doom. Beginning in the mid 1980s, LIFE IN HELL(r) has been anthologized in dozens of books, including Work is Hell, Binky's Guide to Love, The Big Book of Hell and more.
